About me

Hi my name is Marco, I'm an amateur photographer and live in The Netherlands. I bought my first DSLR, a Canon 400D, in may 2007 when my compact camera couldn't do what I wanted it to do. I got it with a Tamron 18-200 so I could shoot everything from landscape to details.
After about 1,5 year the slow and noisy auto-focus bugged me enough to buy a EFS 17-85mm and 70-300mm IS USM. I'm using the 17-85 one most of the time, but for close-ups the 70-300 comes in handy. Right now I've got a macro lens on my wishlist, but I'm not really missing it...


After 3 years of service  I've sold my 400D and bought a brand new 50D.

I started this blog june 2007, recommended by André so he and others could enjoy and comment my photo's. This helped me to improve my pictures. If you like to follow my progress as a photographer:
